Biography of Professor Yokota
Professor Yokota obtained her B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in physics at Waseda University, Japan, where she investigated relaxor properties. Under the research fellowship for young scientist program of Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, she undertook postdoctoral research at University of Oxford, U. K. and University of Tokyo, Japan. Following her postdoctoral work, she established her own research group at Chiba University, Japan and currently heads a laboratory as a professor at Institute of Science Tokyo, Japan. Her current research focuses on development of nonlinear optical microscope and characterization of domain boundaries in ferroic materials.
